Taylor J. Kolb is a registered patent attorney at Spark IP Law. With a background in biochemistry, Taylor concentrates his practice in patent prosecution and trademark law.
Prior to joining Spark IP, Taylor gained substantial experience litigating patents and trademarks as well as complex commercial litigation matters.
Taylor graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law. Taylor was an Executive Articles Editor of the Chicago-Kent Intellectual Property Law Journal and a board member of the Intellectual Property Law Society.
Taylor received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was an undergraduate research assistant in a neurophysiology laboratory, studying the effects of various substrates on neuroreceptors.
Taylor is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago. In his spare time, Taylor enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, golfing, and cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers.
